Eyelid Surgery – Blepharoplasty

An Eyelid Lift or another name says Blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove skin and to add or remove fat from the eyelids. “Eyelid Lift” is a misconception because the eyelid does not lift during surgery.

Upper Eyelid Surgery or Blepharoplasty uses incisions on the skin to allow for removal of skin and fat. A thin stitch uses to bring the skin together to allow for a creation of an eyelid crease.

Lower Eyelid Surgery or Blepharoplasty can involve skin incisions on the inside of the eyelid, says a transconjunctival approach. The transconjunctival approach allows for access to the eyelid fat without visible incisions. This technique is perfect for patients who needs fat removing or adding. This approach combines with laser resurfacing of the eyelid skin to reduce lines and wrinkles.

Why people needs Eyelid Surgery or Blepharoplasty?

Upper Eyelid excess skin and fat can create a heavy looking eyelid, also with age appearance, puffiness, and sometimes block vision. Upper blepharoplasty performs to remove excess skin and fat and can also improve vision.

Double Eyelid surgery performs to create an upper eyelid crease. Double eyelid surgery is also known as Westernization of the eyelid.

Lower blepharoplasty performs to remove excess skin, reduce wrinkles, and also improves the shape of the lower eyelid by removing skin and fat from the eyelid. Sometimes eyelid tightening needs to correct droopiness or sagging. Adding fat is for improving a “hollowed” appearance.
